The God of the Bible

True Christians revere and believe that the entire Bible is the God breathed, infallible Word of the only living God. The God of the Bible is not an idol, like Allah. He is the source of all things and consists of Three Persons in One God, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The Curse

Adam, the first man, brought sin into the world through disobedience, (Genesis 3:17)..."Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life." As a result of one man's disobedience to the One true living God, the creation is fallen. A once perfect creation that Jesus the Creator called "very good" in the beginning was no longer very good. (Genesis 3:18) "Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you..." 

The Cure- The second Adam, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:45-50). Man is sinful by nature (Jeremiah 17:9), "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?" We are all sinners and in need of a Savior. (Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," and the "wages of sin is death," Romans 6:23. "The soul that sins will die," Ezekiel 18:4.

Now that it has been established that we are all sinners, myself included, we can choose to pay our own sin debt or we can accept the free gift of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins once and for all. (Matthew 26:28) "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sins. The Lord in the Old Testament used a striking parallel of the Passover Lamb that was shed as a covering of sin.

Another striking parallel occurred when in the book of Leviticus 16:5, the Lord commanded Aaron to cast lots between two goats for a sin offering, with one being freed and the other shed for the remission of sins. It was fulfilled when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was handed over by the high priests to be put to death. Pontius Pilate gave the people the choice of either setting free one of two people, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God or Jesus Barabbas (Barabbas meaning in Hebrew, "son of the father." Of course we know how according to God's divine plan that it worked out that Jesus the Christ was chosen to be killed, as a remission for our sins.

NOW REMEMBER...That Jesus Christ was the only One of all the "great religious leaders" that claimed to be God. Mohammed never claimed to be God and from what I discussed on the previous page, we have learned that Allah isn't the God of the Bible, but an idol, the very thing that Muslims thought they were leaving. In fact, Allah and Baal are closely intertwined.

The concept of the Trinity- "Let Us create man in Our Image"...God is three persons in one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. John 10:30, Jesus said, "I and My Father are One." John 1:14, Hebrews 1 and Colossians 1 all clearly state that Jesus is the Creator and is One with the Father. Isaiah 43:10 also clearly states there are no other gods, only One true God in three Persons, "Before Me there was no other God formed, nor shall there be after Me." Other scriptures John 5:44, Romans 3:30. Old Testament: Deut. 4:39; 32:39; 2 Sam. 22:32; Isa. 37:20; 43:10; 44:6-8; 45:5, 14, 21-22; 46:9. New Testament: Rom. 16:27; 1 Cor. 8:4-6; Gal. 3:20; Eph. 4:6, 1 Tim. 1:17; 2:5; James 2:19; Jude 25.

Verses that I truly love...Psalm 45:6-7 "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions." AND Hebrews 1:8-10 READ IT! It's God the Father speaking to the Son, Jesus Christ.

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ISLAM?

I'm getting there...listen folks, the Bible clearly states that there are Three Persons in One God and I have just shown that to you. Muslims believe that parts of the Bible are okay, for instance the Law of Moses, the Psalms and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Yet they say that Jews and Christians (the infidel) have corrupted these original revelations...well which is it? You can't have it both ways. There is nothing corrupt about the Bible...this is for another time but I can take you through the Bible and show you scientific examples given by our Lord thousands of years before man discovered it, i.e., "the circle of the earth," (Isaiah 40:22) - proving that the earth was round and inspiring Christopher Columbus to set sail for the "new world," and "springs of the sea," (Job 38:16), - fresh water springs flow from the bottom of the seas, not discovered by man until 1977. Just two of many examples... 

Okay, so clearly the only living God is a triune God. Contrasting that truth to Islam, they believe that Allah is one, and to believe in the Trinity is the greatest sin known as shirk. Muslims believe Christians believe in three different gods and are guilty of shirk. Human attributes such as father, cannot be attributed to Allah, when the Bible clearly talks about the Father thousands of times throughout the Bible. Muslims also believe that Allah is distant and there is no possibility of a relationship with him. I will agree with them on that point because there is no chance of a relationship with Allah because he is an idol, he doesn't exist. However, there is a possibility of a relationship with the Living God, Jesus Christ. Believe it or not, He loves His creation and is concerned with every aspect of humanity. We are His children and He showed us how much He loves us when He gave up His only Son as a sacrifice for our sins!

There are many other differences including salvation. As we have established, we are in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ. Man's heart is evil and wicked even from youth. Think about all of the evil plots and things we did when we were young. I know my heart is wicked...what about yours? Islam teaches that man is basically good but in need of guidance...HA! Look around folks, murder, rape, pornography, abortion, theft, lying, idolatry, fornication, etc., etc., I can go on all day. Man is evil. Our only chance to no longer be separate from God is through Jesus Christ. When we die there won't be 72 virgins (houris) waiting to give sexual pleasures to righteous men in a garden.

The truth of the matter is that we either go to heaven or hell and that depends on whether or not we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and made Him, Lord of our lives. Ephesians 2:8, "We are saved by grace through faith..." Our sin debt was paid for by Jesus on the cross of Calvary, but just believing is not enough...NO, I'm not saying we are saved by works! NO WAY! But we do have to have a true conversion and submit our lives as a living and holy sacrifice to God, (Romans 12:2) "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." One day when we stand before Jesus, He will separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep being those who are truly His, and the goats who never knew Him...Which one will you be?

AND THE FINAL ANSWER IS...

JOHN 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Wanna get to heaven? Jesus is the ONLY WAY! Sorry if that's not politically correct or tolerant but there are absolute truths in the universe and just because someone doesn't believe it, doesn't mean it's not true. If I don't believe in trucks but go play on a highway, will I die? Yes. If I don't believe in gravity but jump out of a 10-story building...will I die? Yes. If you don't believe in Jesus, but He exists (which He does) will you one day perish in hell fire? Yes. The knowledge of the Lord and the mind of God is written on our hearts in our consciences. We know right and wrong from our youth, because the law of the Lord is written upon our hearts. Psalm 19:7, "The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul, the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."

My prayer is that everyone comes to repentance and spends eternity in heaven. That's why I spend hours writing this website, in hopes that it will help save one soul.

How do we get saved? "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Acts 16:31, John 1:12. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9

Much like Noah in the ark, when the Lord shut the door, him and his family were "saved." John 10:9, Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."
